‘The HINGONIA CATTLE REHABILITATION CENTRE popularly known as ‘HINGONIA GOSHALA’ is a rehabilitation center for the accidental diseased and stray cattle of Jaipur city.

Generally, after the milking period of the cows (in their latter half-life span) people abandon them in the streets. The young male calves are also left in the streets after three or four months of their birth. These are the cattles which are often brought to the center for rehabilitation.

Approximately 30 to 40 accidental and sick cattles from entire city are brought here daily on ambulances for treatment and rehabilitation of the cattles.

This was set up in 2004 by Jaipur Nagar Nigam on the initiative of the govt. of Rajasthan. It started with the 60 cattle then as number of cattles increased the facility also went on increasing by course of time.

In 2010 on the result of a PIL filed by an organization in Rajasthan High court the honorable judges look special interest in the development of the ‘GOSHALA’ consequently a lot of infrastructure and other developmental work took place and by 2016 the no. of cattle went up to 7800.
